Built on Hard Work and Dedication
Al Beyers Indoor Comfort Systems has a solid background spanning a 4th Generation Family Business. Our success was built on hard work and dedication.
After the Great Depression in the early 1930s, jobs were hard to come by. At age 16 with an 8th-grade education, Al Beyers found work with L.C. Lenz Plumbing in Janesville. Mr. Beyers learn the basics of the mechanical trade by digging ditches and doing odd jobs.
Nineteen years later, L.C. Lenz Plumbing split the heating and plumbing parts of the company. Mr. Beyers and his wife Roberta bought the heating division in 1955 and started Al Beyers Heating. Soon after, two more tradesmen were hired.
The Shop Goes Mobile
A mobile shop was added in 1994 to increase productivity and efficiency with add-on air conditioning and furnace replacements to perform custom installations. They moved to a newer facility with nearly 4,000-square feet of storage and office space in 1995.
In 1996, Bryant Heating & Cooling Products gave their highest award for best business practices to the company, something earned by only 11 Bryant dealers in the nation that year. In 1997, they expanded to an office in Edgerton, WI, where products are displayed in a large window.
A Busy Year – 1999
Yes, 1999 was a busy year. A Carrier dealership as well as Trieloff Mechanical Systems of Cambridge were purchased. The McCue brothers bought the business from their parents this year and added “Indoor Comfort Systems” to the company name for a better description of the services they provide.
Today, Al Beyers Indoor Comfort Systems has a staff of 19 in two locations and serves the South-Central WI region. We are a state-licensed HVAC contractor, employ NATE-certified technicians, and are certified in Radon Measurement & Mitigation systems. We would appreciate the opportunity to serve you.
